Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. It's usually not the genre I read (afterall, my typical read is along the lines of shoujo manga), but it's great (well at least up to where I am now).

hmmm....recommendations...
watashi ni xx shinasai, which has an odd pairing XD it only have 2 chapters though. my friend recommended barajou no kiss, and its alright. Kamisama Hajimemashita and Aracure is pretty good too. Bokura wa Itsumo is cute. thats all i can think of now. sorry if you dont like my taste T__T
